Butterfly Spring Wreath

I've been on the lookout for something creative and fun to put on my front door. I'm tired of looking at the 3M hook {at least it's the brushed nickel one}.

This past weekend I found it-a simple, garden-style wreath. The words 'Pottery Barn Inspired' did catch my eye as well. Let's face it, most things that are in the Pottery Barn catalog I want, I just would never pay their price.

So, after several trips to Michaels {I didn't buy enough moss} and two 40% off coupons later, I followed the simple directions from one of my fav blogs to read, Tatertots and Jello, and made my own Pottery Barn Inspired Butterfly Wreath.

It adds that touch of spring to my front door, which I like.

A few things to note: This is not one of those under $10 projects. If you are thinking about doing it plan ahead. Take several trips and 40% off coupons to Michaels or anywhere else you can find a good deal.

Also, moss is messy. If you can, do this project outside.

Now, what will I do for summer?

  1. Hi kelly- thanks for your sweet comments about my spring wreath. I'm now following you. I like your comments about the moss. I was at michaels yesterday and it's like 12.99. I always use the coupons, but I was surprised it was so high and messy. laura@imnotatrophywife.com
