On My Wish To Get Done List {Organizing Projects}

I've known about Pinterest and I've browsed through some of the fun images here and there, but I just finally signed up today {I only had the invite to sign up sitting in my inbox for a few months}. I don't know what I was waiting for. It is a great place to get inspired, find ideas and store all of those great images you find.

So today, using Pinterest I decided to focus a little on some clever organizing projects. They are on my 'I wish/hope/pray I can get some of these done before the babies get here' list.

This organized pantry, complete with calendar and lists is from Apartment Therapy. Check out their site to see more images and close up photos.

I want to do this. Of course, I don't have a wall this big but I love how this wall combines items of necessity like a mail organizer and tack board with fun things like the wooden 'R'. Check out Knock Off Decor for more ideas.

As I just mentioned I don't have a ton of wall space. How great is this idea? I love to hide stuff too! Young House Love is an adorable blog with all DIY household tips/tricks and experiences. Love it!

I think this would be so cute for a kids' desk. To get to Craftzine's site click here.

I think these are simply cute and not only are they easy to label but you can see through each container. You can buy your own here.

I think this will be a must in a few years. I like how clean it looks. This is important to me because most times you are hanging these things in main areas of your home {kitchens, hallways, etc.}. Check out The Clay Family blog here.

What are some of your favorite or to do list organizing projects?

What lurks beneath the bathroom sink?

This week I've spend a little time cleaning...partially because I needed to, partially because we are having house guests and partially because it's SPRING {at least it's raining like it's spring}. We have two full bathrooms upstairs so I get one and my husband gets one. When guests come to visit he loses his bathroom. So, I cleaned his bathroom and got it guest ready.

I put out extra toilet paper {because I don't normally have a roll waiting on top of the toilet like the picture} and a fresh container of hand soap.

My guests even get clean towels :).

I'm even the person who puts out a little basket with goodies like shampoo and conditioner, soap, toothpaste, etc. Just in case you left something at home or need something. And I LOVE doing all of this. But then {dun dun dun} I open my hubby's cupboard...

Really? This is what is living in my house. I was taken back. The sad thing is, before I took this picture I had already thrown out the 50 some {yes, that is no exaggeration} used dryer sheets. Hubby: "They are great for dusting." How much dusting does he plan on doing?

So...I went to my happy place, Target, to get some supplies.

For about $5 I turned that mess into this...

Now, isn't that better. You could actually find something that you are looking for.

Organizing...Bills & Paper

Since this blog is supposed to touch on one of my obsessions {organizing} I thought it was about time that I actually wrote about organizing. I haven't had a chance to organize anything new in my house recently {I have a feeling that will be changing very soon} but I decided to pick my two favorite paper organizing tips/tricks/tools.

First is the bill organizer. Yes, we still get paper bills. So this organizer is a life saver because I think about paying bills...like never.

This organizer was bought a few years ago from Target and I think I saw it there not that long ago. It's super handy because you can organize your bills by due date {at least that is how we do it}.

Close up of the numbers on the bill organizer.
Next are my files...or my fast files. I have a file drawer but somethings I need to grab quickly or some things need a holding spot until I can actually sit down and file them correctly.

I picked up these files at Container Store and the stickers {which are the BEST} at Paper Source. I even had these stickers on my files at my last job and LOVED them. The 'to do' folder seems to be the most used, hands down.

Close up of the files and the stickers. Stickers say: info, file, pay, urgent, inspiration and to do.
Happy Organizing!
